Last day of School- Friday, June 10th  Half-Day (dismissal is 11:55am)

Voyager ⅚

This week students self assessed and organized their work for the final reports. Reading Response Notebook rubrics were completed and students put draft work, final drafts, and rubrics together as well. We also found some time to discuss the experience at Rokeby museum and to review the questions that they had to answer in the exhibit. Finally, we had a number of celebrations, games, and an awards assembly this week.

Summer work is coming home with report cards. You will find a Humanities packet and journal with the report card. This will be posted on Google Classroom as well, just in case the packet does not make it home. Summer reading and writing is essential to be sure our students maintain their skills for next school year.

It has been a wonderful year. I have really enjoyed teaching your children. Thank you so much for all of the nice cards, gifts, and goodies this school year, they are very much appreciated. Have a wonderful and restful summer!

We have so appreciated each one of you, your children, our families, and siblings too!  We cannot believe how wonderful the support has been for Aron and me and WOW! You even come camping with us!

The photos below are from our last week of school!  We finished the Amazing Race with style, a virtual return to Vermont and the marble and granite quarries in Barre.  We closed up shop on the math programs, squeezing in last moment assessment questions!  We cleaned the house!  We gathered our work together!  It’s all coming home!  Please take a few minutes just to look at the amazing work that your child has done.  And the summer work is in that pile, so no bonfire until it’s out of the pile!  

Please know that we will miss you 6th Graders.  We are always on the “other side” so come and see us!
